Episode 40: Outside the Wire
Saturday Jan 23, 2021
Saturday Jan 23, 2021
This week we watched Netflix's new movie Outside the Wire. Set in the near future, a sci-fi/action-war movie about a disgraced drone pilot who is punished by being sent to fight on the ground ... somewhere near a wire ... that he must go outside of ... or something.
It'll make you rethink everything you know about the rookie/seasoned partnership (as long as you haven't seen Training Day.
It'll make you think about what it means to be human, and what the balance is around what the line is between artificial intelligence and humanity (as long as you haven't seen AI or Ex_Machina).
It'll most likely make you wish you watched one of those movies instead.
Starring Anthony Mackie, Damson Idris, Enzo Cilenti, Emily Beecham, Michael Kelly, Pilou Asbæk ...
